What is SECAC?
We are.....
The Howard County Special Education Community Advisory Committee (SECAC) is an organization established to seek meaningful input from parents, community partners, service providers, educators, and administrators on local issues relative to the provision of a free appropriate public eduction (FAPE) and the achievement of students with disabilities in the county. SECAC enables local directors of special education to collaborate with others on local issues and it has the potential to facilitate positive changes in the delivery of special education services and the achievement of students with disabilities.

Who can join?
Anyone interested in the future of special education in Howard County, Maryland. Our meetings are open to everyone, and membership is automatic for anyone who attends the majority of our monthly meetings.

We meet the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m at
